Arrive at Delhi and be met by our representative who will transfer you to your hotel where you will have your first night in Delhi. After breakfast we have sightseeing of New Delhi where you visit Red Fort a unique photo opportunity. Red Fort is a massive sandstone fort built by Shah Jahan on the banks of river Yamuna, we then go on to Jama Masjid - which is the largest mosque in India and stands across the road from the Red Fort. It was built in 1656 by Shahjahan and about 20,000 people can pray here at a time. We then visit Rajghat - which is the cremation ground of the great father of the nation, Mahatama Gandhi. Further visits include Qutub Minar- which is the tower of victory started by Qutub-Ud-Din-Aibak in 1199AD upon becoming sultan of Delhi, the Lotus temple- a distinctive lotus shaped marvel in marble which is a symbol peace, we also visit the Presidents House (but only from outside) and India Gate (the war memorial).
After breakfast at the hotel we set off for our drive to Jaipur and upon arrival check into the Hotel. The drive will take approximately 5/6 hours. When we arrive the rest of time will be free at leisure. Overnight stay at Hotel in Jaipur. After breakfast we begin a full day city tour of Jaipur including an excursion to Amber fort. Climb up the fort on elephant’s back (Subject to availability) like the Maharajas and visit the Amber Palace of the Kuchchawa rulers. Later visit half day city tour of Pink City which includes Hawa Mahal : the palace of winds (Photo-stop), Jantar Mantar : Science lovers will love Jantar mantar, an observatory built by the founder of Jaipur in 1728AD and the City Palace Museums which contain the original collection of the Maharajas of Jaipur. After breakfast we drive to Agra and en-route visit Fatehpur Sikri built in red sandstone by Emperor Akbar to commemorate the birth of his son. Upon arrival at Agra we check in to the hotel. In the afternoon we visit Taj Mahal (Taj Mahal Closed on Friday). Taj Mahal is perhaps the most photographed monument in the world. It's possible that you because you have seen so many picture of the building that you may feel you might be disappointed with the real thing - trust us, you won't. Quite the opposite. Return to the hotel. After breakfast proceed to visit Agra Fort. The elegant building inside reflecting an interesting synthesis of Hindu and Central Asian architectural style built by Emperor Akbar. In the morning we will proceed for a sightseeing tour of Mamallapuram. On this tour we will visit "Arjuna's Penance" - the largest Bas Relief whale-back shaped rock contains figures of Gods, demigods, men, beasts, birds and infant representing the entire creation. The "Five Rathas", also known as Pancha Pandava Rathas consist of five monolithic temples with each temple is created in different style. At the end of a trip we will visit "The shore Temple", one of the oldest temples in South India, which was built in the 8 century AD, and constructed in Dravidian style. This temple has two shrines, one for Shiva and another for Vishnu. For lunch we take you to a traditional Indian restaurant. After lunch we proceed with our tour towards Tiger's Cave, which was once an open-air theatre and performed cultural programs. At the end we will visit the Crocodile Park located just 14 km from Mamallapuram, which keeps over 1500 crocodiles of several species of Indian and African alligators. On route we visit Gangaikonda Cholapuram (famous Shiva temple) with its beautiful high towers full with many small sculptures depicting stories of old epics. Proceed to visit Darasuram temple (built in memory of the White elephant - AIRAVATH from the gods family), the temple has its original name as “Airavateshwara temple”. After breakfast we have a full sight seeing tour visiting the world famous ‘Brihadishwara temple’ (houses one of Asia’s biggest Nandi - the bull). This temple was built by the Cholas and is very special because of its architecture. The most exciting is that the temple does not have a shadow falling on ground at any time of day but falls on its own body. Later we visit the Bronze gallery at the palace museum, followed by a visit to a village on the outskirts of Tanjore for a glance at people at work, making Bronze Statues and Glass paintings. After a morning check out from hotel after breakfast we drive to Karaikudi via Trichy - the town situated on the bank of river Cauvery. You will visit ‘Srirangam’ the largest temple complex in India, which lies on an island on the Cauvery River, on the northern side of this chaotic city. The most important entrance gate is more than ninety meters high. There are seven temple walls around the complex. We later visit the Rock fort temple in the main town. 437 rock cut steps will take you to the Ganesha shrine at the top. A view of entire Trichy town from here is breath taking. Later lunch at a nice restaurant and onward drive to Karaikudi the Land of Heritage & Devotion that enchants and enhances the soul. It is a tourist's paradise with a difference, and one, which certainly cannot be missed by the discerning tourist. A stray thundershower adds to the charm of the place, churning up the red soil, and filling up the temple tanks. The name of this place has been christened after the virgin goddess Kanyakumari Amman. Mythological stories depict that Goddess Parvati under the disguise of Devi Kanya did a penance in one of the rocks in this area to reach the hand of Lord Shiva. After breakfast we checkout and drive to Badami. En route sightseeing of Aihole and Pattadakal. Situated 43 kms from Badami, Aihole was the regional capital of the Chalukyas between the 4th and 6th centuries. It is a picturesque village on the banks of the Malapragha River and has as many as 10 temples of ancient origin that are excellent examples of Hindu medieval architecture. The second capital of the Badami Chalukyas, the village of Pattadakal situated 20 kms from Badami was used in particular for the royal coronation ceremonies. After breakfast checkout from hotel and we drive to Hassan. On route we will visit the sacred Jain site of Sravanabelagola. Sravanabelagola means "the monk on the top of the hill”, where hermits and mystics have resided since at least the 3rd century BC. In those early times the hill was thickly wooded and hermits could feed themselves from the vegetation of the forest. Near the middle of the 10th century AD, temples began to be constructed upon the hill and from thereon the place has become one of the most important pilgrimage sites of the Jain religion. Here we will see an extraordinary 18m-high monolithic statue of a naked male figure from the 10-century, Gomateshvara. Carved out of a single block of granite this majestic statue was created during the period of Chamundaraya, and is believed to be the largest freestanding sculpture in India. (Overnight in Hassan)
The following day we tour around Hassan. First we will visit Belur where you can see the best template for Hoyasala architecture a Channekeshava Temple. The peculiarity of this temple is that the angled bracket figures depicting women in ritual dancing poses. (The best time to visit 9am, 3pm, and 7:30pm ceremony). After we will drive to Halebid - the ancient capital of the Hoysalas, which is famous for its Hoysaleswara Temple. This particular temple represents one of the most artistically exuberant periods of Hindu cultural development. The Hoyasala temples in Belur and Halebid symbolise the confluence of Dravidian, Chalukyan and Chola art at the same time.

The next morning orning after check out from hotel we will drive to Nagarhole. Nestled in the southern fringes of the Nagarhole National Park, the Kabini River Lodge is a perfect getaway for nature lovers. After refreshments we visit the famous “Palace of Mysore” which was once the residential home of Wodeyars and is one of the largest of its kind in India. Built in 1912 in the indo Saracenic style, this palace exudes a grandeur that is unmatched. Later we visit the “Jayachamsrajendra Art Gallery” housed in the Jaganmohan palace. This gallery has a collection of exquisite paintings dating back to 1875. In the evening we visit the bull temple (a 4.8mts monolith) on the middle of hill on the way to Chamundi temple and then to visit the “Chamumdi Hill Temple” at a height of 1062mts. The 2000-year-old temple is dedicated to Goddess Chamundi. A seven storey, 40mts high tower, dominates the temple. A view of entire Mysore city from this hilltop is breath taking. Located in the southern state of Tamil Nadu, Chennai offers several sights and sounds to savor. The St. George Fort, built in 1653, is currently used as the state government’s secretariat and is a famous landmark. Another colonial structure worth visiting in the city of Chennai is Santhome Cathedral which was built around 14th/15th century. In addition to above the Kapaleeshwar Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is the oldest temple in Chennai and the Parthasarathy temple dedicated to Lord Krishna is another important temple worth visiting. After sight seeing of Chennai around 12.00 pm we proceed to reach the laid back beach town of Mamallapuram, about half an hour away. The silk saris of India are among the living examples of the excellent craftsmanship of the weavers of the country. Day 5, after breakfast we have a sightseeing tour of Bangalore visiting - The Vidhan Soudha, the major attraction in Bangalore. The building is a massive neo-Dravidian building currently functioning as the state legislative assembly. The Cubbon Park in the heart of the city, Lal Bagh (famous for the blooming red roses), Bangalore Palace - built in the year 1887 with architecture based on Tudor Style. The Venkatappa Art Gallery - which houses about 600 paintings. The Tipu's Palace and the adjoining fort are fine examples of Indo-Islamic architecture which also offer a glimpse into the Mughal lifestyle of the day. We return to the hotel around 12.30pm and free afternoon for your own activities. In the evening we visit the ISKCON Temple (International Society For Krishna Consciousness). Visit this ornate temple built on a hillock with granite, marble and Korean glass, this huge cultural complex was established to promote Vedic culture and spiritual learning. On the 7th day, after an early breakfast at 08.00am we proceed for a day return excursion to Somnathpur and Srirangapattinum. Somnathpur - one need not search far for its history. An inscribed stone slab, in old Kannada, at the entrance says it all. The reigning monarch was Narasimha III (1254-91 A.D.) whose full regal title runs into a sizeable paragraph: "Sri Vishnuvaradhana, Pratapa Chakravarti, Hoysala Bhujabala, Sri Vira Narasimha, Maharajadhiraja, Raja Paramesvara, Sanivarasiddhi, Giridurgamalla etc. Later we drive to Srirangapatnam - place with ancient history is an Island fortress town on the bank of river cauvery. Visit the Srirangapatnam fort and the summer palace of Tippu sultan. After sightseeing of Srirengapatnam around 13.30hrs break for lunch at a nice resort in same town. After lunch we visit Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary at a 3km distance on one of the three islands in the Cauvery River. We check out from the hotel after breakfast at 07.30am and drive to Hassan. On route we visit Saravanabelagola, the famous Jain pilgrim center & one of the oldest in India. This place is known as one of the greatest monuments of Jain art. The colossal statue of Gomateswara, with a height of 57 feet, is situated on the summit of Indragiri hill. It is one of the two giant sculptures in the world, after the Collosus Ramses II in Egypt. Later we drive a short while to reach the hotel in Hassan. At 14.00hrs we visit the famous Hoysala temples of “Belur & Halebid”. The 12th century temples of Belur and Halebid are outstanding for their most beautiful sculptures. Typically these temples are squat & star shaped. Its outstanding sculptures all over the walls and pillars describes the stories from the old epics of Ramayana, Mahabharatha & Bhagavath Geetha providing some knowledge of Hindu culture. After breakfast at 08.00am and drive to Hospet 6.5 hours away. Its tourist importance lies in its proximity to Hampi, the site of the medieval Vijayanagar Empire, situated about 13 kms away. The Tungabhadra Dam here harnesses the sweet waters of the Tungabhadra River. At the base of the dam is a garden styled along Japanese lines. On arrival check in to hotel. The next day we visit HAMPI, the seat of the famed VIJAYANAGARA empire. This was the capital of the largest empire in post-mogul India, covering several states. The 14th Century Ruins of Hampi lie scattered in about 26 sq. km, amidst giant boulders and vegetation. The splendid remains of palaces and the gateways of the broken city tell a tale of man with his infinite talent and power of creativity together with his capacity for senseless destruction. Every rock, every path and every monument at Hampi speaks the same language, a language of glory and beauty. Some important attractions are: The temple of Malyavanta Raghunathaswamy - built in the Dravidian style, the Hampi Bazaar, 35 yards wide and nearly 800 yards long was known to be a "very beautiful street with very beautiful houses", the Virupaksha Temple rises majestically at the western end of the famous Hampi Bazaar, The 6.7m tall monolith of Ugra Narasimha and the most splendid monument of Hampi the Vithala Temple Complex with its 56 musical pillars. After the breakfast we proceed to a most important place of interest - the monuments at ‘Aihole’ & ‘Pattadakkal’. Aihole famous as the "Cradle of Indian Architecture", has over a hundred temples scattered around the village. The oldest temple here is perhaps, the ‘Lad Khan temple’ dating back to the 5th Century. ‘The Durga (Fort) Temple’ is notable for its semi-circular shape, elevated plinth, and the gallery that encircles the sanctum. ‘The Hutchimalli Temple’ out in the village - has a sculpture of Vishnu sitting atop a large cobra. Not to be missed is the ‘Konthi Temple Complex’ (Kwanthi Gudi). At Pattadakkal we visit the prime attractions such as ‘Virupaksha temple’, ‘Jambulinga temple’, ‘Jain temples’ and the Mallikarjuna & Papanatha temples. (Overnight in Badami)

After sightseeing of Srirangapatnam around 1.00 pm break for lunch at a nice resort in same town. After lunch we visit Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary on one of the three islands on the River Kavery. Ranganathittu is an important Asian nesting and breeding ground for migratory birds from across the planet. In Alleppey we will go for a cruise on a traditional House Boat (Kettu Valam) of Kerala Style which brings you along the narrow, quiet, small villages in over 900 km of the labyrinth water world, lined with coconut palms. On the House Boat you will experience the typical food of Kerala, sunbathing on the deck, staying away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. In the early morning we will visit in Kanyakumari. Located at the southern tip of the Indian subcontinent where the Bay of Bengal, the Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean meet, it offers a spectacular view of the sunrise and sunset. Kanyakumari is famous for its beautiful Vivekanda Memorial dedicated to the Indian philosopher Swami Vivekananda who, who is said to have meditated here before setting out as an important religious crusader in India. The memorial has been built on the Vivekananda Rock where the great philosopher went into meditation that transformed him into one of the most charismatic spiritual leaders of this century.
We will undertake a boat trip to visit the Vivekanda Memorial. After we will visit Gandhi Memorial, which was built on the spot where the urn containing his ashes was kept for the public to pay the last respect, before immersing at the confluence of the three seas. The Memorial is a testimony to a blend of rich Indian heritage and modern architecture. En route we will visit the famous wooden Padamanabhapuram Palace complex located in a small village. After breakfast, around 7:30 a.m.we check out from the hotel and drive the 6 hours to Periyar. Periyar, also called Thekkady is one of the most popular wildlife sanctuaries in South Indian. Spread across 777 sq km in the picturesque rainforests of the Western Ghats, this is the only sanctuary in India that offers the unique opportunity of viewing wild life in their natural habitat. Apart of the wild life reserve the landscape here is surrounded by tea, coffee, cardamom, cloves, pepper and other Indian spices. On arrival you will check in to the hotel. At around 4 p.m. you will proceed for a guided plantation tour to a nearby garden where various species of spices and other aromatic plants are cultivated. The guide will explain and clarify your doubts according the species used in the Indian cuisine. In the e early morning of day 11 (at 06.00 am) we will take you on a guided Jungle walk in the Periyar tiger Reserve National Park. This 3-hour-walk (not very hard) is very interesting and gives you the chance to see the wildlife life at a very close distance. Periyar Reserve is a home to herds of elephants, sambar, gaur, macaques and Nilgiri Langur. If you are lucky you may even spot the rarely sighted leopards and tigers. Return to hotel and rest. At 3.30 p.m. we will take you on the 2-hour Boat Cruise on the Periyar Lake - the best way to observe the wildlife in its nature. During this journey you can see the wild animals along the shore bathing, drinking, resting and foraging. It is an excellent spot to see a family of elephants, wild boar and sambar deer by the water's edge. Other animals you may observe in Periyar are otters and porcupines. Also turtles can often be seen sunning themselves on the pieces of wood that stick out of the water. Osprey and Cormorants belong to the most important species of birds in this area. We depart from hotel at 8:00 a.m. and journey to Madurai 4 hours away - the old city of Tamil Nadu. Madurai is the second largest city in Tamil Nadu. Situated on the bank of the River Vaigai, Madurai has been the capital of the Pandyan Empire for nearly thousand years and an important centre of worship, cultural and commerce for a long time. Today the town is considered as the cultural capital of Tamil Nadu and is famous for its impressive temple dedicated to Meenakshi, Lord Shiva's consort. On arrival you will check in to hotel. By 2:00 p.m. we take you on a sight seeing tour around Madurai. First we will visit Meenakshi temple - one of the largest temple complexes in South India a fantastic example of Dravidian architecture. Its 12 highly decorative gopuras are adorned with carvings of celestial and animal figures. After, we will visit Tirumalai Nayak Palace - a gracious edifice built in the Indo-Saracenic style and Gandhi Museum. Later you will return to the hotel. In the evening we will attend a fantastic night ceremony at Meenakshi Temple, where God Shiva is lead to the bedroom of his wife, Meenakshi. Mamallapuram, which is also known as Mahabalipuram and is situated on the shores of the Bay of Bengal. Mamallapuram, a site of many sculptural marvels was once a port city of Pallavas and is listed today as a world heritage site and is a renowned center for stone carving. The Pallavas have mastered many marvelous monuments with sculptural panels, caves, monolithic Rathas and Temples where the various panels on the walls depict scenes from Hindu mythology and fables from the Panchatantra. After breakfast we will take you on a sight seeing tour around Mamallapuram. On this tour we will visit "Arjuna's Penance" - the largest Bas Relief whale-back shaped rock contains figures of Gods, demigods, men, beasts, birds and infant represent the entire creation, the "Five Rathas", also known as Pancha Pandava Rathas consist of five monolithic temples where each temple is created in different style. Then we will visit "The shore Temple" the oldest temples in South India, which was built in the 8 century AD, constructed in Dravidian style. This temple has two shrines, one for Shiva and another for Vishnu. For lunch we take you to one traditional Indian restaurant.
